Marko Popović is a research scientist in the Center for Future Banking at the MIT Media Lab. Popović received a BSc in physics from Belgrade University (1995), an MSc in computational physics from Ohio State University (1996), and a PhD in physics from Boston University (2002). From 2001-2002, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the physics department at Harvard University and a postdoctoral research associate in the Biomechatronics group at MIT. He has continued to work with the Media Lab's Biomechatronics group as a researcher. Popović is the author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications, which encompass diverse fields such as physics, math, modeling, robotics, biomechanics, and human-computer systems. His research interests include neuro- and behavioral economics, visualization, data mining, physics, human biomechanics, humanoid robotics, and systems control.
