 <description>&lt;p&gt;Deb Roy directs the Media Lab&#039;s Cognitive Machines group and Center for Future Banking, and chairs MIT&#039;s academic program in Media Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on the interaction of language with physical and social context, which he explores through the construction of robots, video games, and the study of child language acquisition. Roy has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers in the areas of artificial intelligence, cognitive modeling, human-machine interaction, data mining and visualization, and machine learning.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Matt Calman is Senior Vice President and R&amp;amp;D Executive at Bank of America. He leads the Center for Future Banking, a joint venture between the bank and the MIT Media Lab focused on rethinking the human financial experience.  His organization also includes the Gateway Innovation Lab and the Innovation Enablement Team. Calman joined the bank in 1986 in Corporate Trust and has led teams in information technology, strategy, and process design.  In 2002 he was certified as the bank’s ninth Six Sigma Blackbelt.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Henry Holtzman has been a member of the MIT community since 1981, joining the Media Lab as a researcher when it opened in 1985. Currently, he is the Lab&#039;s Chief Knowledge Officer, executive director of the Digital Life consortium, and director of the Information Ecology research group. In addition, Holtzman directs the Lab&#039;s CE 2.0 initiative, a collaboration with 14 Media Lab sponsor companies to formulate the principles for a new generation of consumer electronics that are highly connected, seamlessly interoperable, situation-aware, and radically simple.&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Hiroshi Ishii is Muriel R. Cooper Professor of Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Lab, where he is head of the Tangible Media Group and co-director of the Things That Think (TTT) consortium. Ishii&#039;s research focuses upon the design of seamless interfaces between humans, digital information, and the physical environment. His group seeks to change the &quot;painted bits&quot; of GUIs to &quot;tangible bits&quot; by giving physical form to digital information. Their work emphasizes that the development of tangible interfaces requires the rigor of both scientific and artistic review.&lt;/p&gt;
